MJOLNIR Launcher changelog
MJOLNIR Launcherv0.8.0

See who made it

Click an author's name anywhere and their profile opens in the launcher: their avatar, everything they have published, and what that work has drawn.

Every mod said who made it, and that was as far as it went. If a texture pack was good there was no way to ask "what else have they done?" without going to the website and searching by hand.

Added

  • Profiles. Click an author's name anywhere — a mod byline, a comment, a review — and their page opens in the launcher, without sending you to a browser. Their Discord avatar, when they joined, and every mod they have published, each one installable from where it sits.
  • Two sets of figures, kept apart because they say different things: what their published work drew — mods published, downloads, page views, and an average rating weighted by how many people voted, so one five-star rating cannot outweigh a hundred four-star ones — and what they have done around the hub: mods downloaded, ratings given, comments, screenshots contributed.
  • Discord avatars beside every author name, on mod cards and mod pages alike.
  • Open on mjolnircore.com from a profile, the same escape hatch mod pages already had.

Changed

  • Installing a mod now tells the hub it was you, so your own "mods downloaded" count reflects what you install from here. It counts distinct mods, not installs — reinstalling something is not a new mod. Nothing records which mods anyone downloaded, and no page shows anyone's library; the number is a number.

Notes

  • The count starts at zero for everyone. Downloads before this release were never attributed to an account, and nothing invents a history that was not recorded.
