Added
/bench(MJOLNIRHud 0.10.0). Type/benchin match chat, stay put somewhere safe for about a minute, and the game times the map with and without its foliage, its shadows and its wind at your camera. The result shows in your chat and goes to the MJOLNIR team with your resolution, quality settings and GPU, so we can see how the remastered maps run on real hardware. It needs the launcher signed in to the hub, and it waits until you have been on the map for two minutes, while it is still loading in.mjolnir_benchin the console does the same without sending, or A/Bs any console variable:mjolnir_bench r.Shadow.Virtual.Enable 0. Results go tobench.login the MJOLNIRHud folder.- Settings in the hitch log. Each map's heading in
hitches.lognow says the resolution drawn, window mode, every quality level, the GPU and the CPU.
Fixed
- Grass drawn across the whole map (MJOLNIRLevelLoader 0.7.2). Some bands of grass never culled at any distance: on Death Island, 51,000 clumps of the heaviest grass. Lower foliage quality made it worse. Every band now stops at its distance.
- A loop that cost 12 ms a second on maps with water dry zones (MJOLNIRLevelLoader 0.7.2). It looked up an engine object ten times a second.
Changed
- No grass wind at Low and Medium foliage quality (MJOLNIRLevelLoader 0.7.2). Swaying grass was half of the grass's cost on the GPU. High and Epic still sway.
- MJOLNIRLobby 0.13.4 sends
/benchresults to the hub.
Notes
- Foliage is about a fifth of the frame on Death Island, even on an RTX 5090 (68 fps at 4K, Epic). If the remastered maps run slow for you, set Foliage to Medium or Low in Video settings.
